What the listed price includes
HDMI and USB-C prices include the standard port, labour and functional testing where the board pads are intact. Controller prices include the stated mechanism, calibration and testing.
If the fault is different
Additional parts, torn pads, damaged traces, multilayer reconstruction or an unrelated board fault are never added silently. I send a revised written quote and wait for your approval.
If I cannot complete the repair
There is no repair fee. Only separately approved cleaning or extended diagnostic work, exact return carriage and necessary replacement packaging remain payable.
Model-dependent work is quoted precisely.
Screens, batteries and many device-specific ports are not given a generic “from” price. The exact model, chosen part category, supplier cost, labour, testing and warranty must be clear before you approve the work.
Where appropriate, I explain the choice between a manufacturer or service-pack part where that provenance can be proved, an original reclaimed or professionally refurbished part, and a premium compatible part.
