From your door to the bench — and safely back.

A repair by post should never feel vague. Every stage has a clear owner, a written decision and a point where nothing moves forward without your approval.

The first rule is simple: do not post anything until I have reviewed and accepted your request in writing.

  1. Request

Tell me what has gone wrong. This is not a booking.

  2. Accepted

I review it personally and send posting details if it is suitable.

  3. Post

Pack it securely and send only after acceptance.

  4. Inspect

I receive, record and inspect the device.

  5. Approve

You receive and accept a clear written quote and terms.

  6. Repair

I complete the work, test it and prepare a written record.

  7. Return

You pay, then I arrange tracked return at exact cost.

The seven-stage record

Website acceptance and repair approval are separate decisions. You remain in control of both.

  1. 01

    Request

You describe the device, symptoms, relevant damage and data importance. This is a non-binding request, not a booking.

  2. 02

    Personal review

I decide whether the job is suitable for the mail-in service. If I accept it, I send the postal address and packing guidance privately.

  3. 03

    Post only after acceptance

You package the device securely and pay the inbound carriage. Unsafe batteries must not enter the postal route.

  4. 04

    Receive and inspect

I record the device after it arrives, complete a non-invasive intake check and inspect the reported fault.

  5. 05

    Written approval

I send the quote, parts position, terms and any separate consent needed before work starts. The repair contract forms only when you accept them.

  6. 06

    Repair, test and record

I complete the authorised work, test the repaired fault and prepare a manual written completion record.

  7. 07

    Payment and return

I invoice after repair and testing. Once payment clears, I arrange tracked and appropriately insured return at the exact cost.

Postal safety is a gate, not a suggestion.

Do not post a device with a defective, damaged, swollen, punctured, burnt, smoking, unusually hot or otherwise unsafe battery. The request form stops that route, and the server rejects the submission if the answer is changed or bypassed.

Before posting an accepted device
  • Use the packing guidance supplied with the acceptance.
  • Use rigid packaging that prevents movement and accidental activation.
  • Follow the chosen carrier’s current quantity, capacity, labelling and counter rules.
  • Do not include a loose or standalone lithium battery or power bank in this route.
  • Keep your receipt and tracking details.

Request received is not request accepted.

The automatic acknowledgement proves only that the website received the form. I then review the information personally and normally reply within one working day. Only my written acceptance tells you to post.

Accepted for posting is not repair approval.

After the device arrives and I inspect it, I send the written quote and terms. The repair contract forms only when you accept that post-inspection offer. If extra work appears later, I stop and ask again.
