This notice describes the intended implementation. A production browser audit must confirm that rejection causes zero Google requests and cookies, and that acceptance enables only the approved configuration.
What happens before you choose
If a GA4 measurement ID is configured, the site displays an analytics choice. Before acceptance, it does not load the Google tag, contact Google Analytics, set Google Analytics cookies or send cookieless consent pings. Reject and accept are presented with equal prominence, and the site remains fully usable if you reject.
If no measurement ID is configured, analytics is entirely disabled and the preference panel is not shown.
The preference stored by this site
Google Analytics after acceptance
After explicit acceptance, the site may load the Google tag and Google Analytics may set identifiers such as _ga and _ga_<measurement-id>. Their exact live lifetime and behaviour must be checked against the deployed property before this draft becomes final.
- Analytics storage is granted only after your choice.
- Advertising storage, user data and ad personalisation remain denied.
- Google Signals and advertising-personalisation signals are disabled.
- No RMC user ID is sent.
- GA4 event-data retention is configured to two months where supported by the property.
Changing your choice
When analytics is configured, use “Cookie preferences” in the footer to reopen the panel. Rejecting updates the stored choice and removes Google Analytics cookies that the site can address on its own domain. You can also clear site data in your browser.
